So back in June we bought a new house and moved. Now one thing that moving always proves to me is that I have a lot of stuff...too much stuff! Specifically I have too much makeup! Now being a beauty blogger, makeup artist, and working for a skincare and makeup company tends to make beauty products accumulate rather quickly. I also realized while moving how many product samples I have. I'm talking about a whole drawer full in my vanity. It isn't that I don't love beauty samples but I just find myself forgetting about them. I toss them in a drawer where they lie forgotten and develop abandonment issues. I am subscribed to a couple monthly makeup subscription boxes and order a lot of products online so that is where they mostly come from.
So in order to force myself to start using my sample products up I am going to do a segment each Sunday called Sample Sunday. I will use a sample completely up during the week and then review it for you here.
This weeks installment is a product I used this week which is the Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream. I happened to pick a great product to start this out because I ended up really loving it. I've had a love/hate relationship with BB Creams over the years. I love the things they promise but most of the BB creams I have tried have left me feeling uncomfortable and felt like they just sat on top of my skin. Also most that I have tried were not quite up to par with the coverage I would like. This BB Cream is not like that at all.
It looks like your normal BB Cream. It is a thick creamy consistency but it blends out beautifully. It is a light/medium coverage. It felt light on my skin but it had enough coverage to help camouflage some redness and minor blemishes. You can def tell there is a moisturizing property to this. It left my skin feeling comfortable but without feeling greasy.
It also wore pretty well throughout the day. I did notice a little bit of breakdown but it still was looking pretty good when I got home after 7 hours of wear.
Overall I would say this is one of the best BB Creams I have tried. Now I wish it had a prettier price tag because of course the BB Cream I fall in love with is $39! Yuck. I only have to use a little more than a pea size to cover my whole face so it would last a while but I still don't know if I want to pay that much for this product.
