It Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Vol.1 Matte Luxe Transforming Eyeshadow Palette Review and Swatches!

For quite sometime I have wanted a good all matte eyeshadow palette. Finding a matte palette that is good quality is almost impossible. Yes there are a few like the Naked Basics Palette but that doesn't give you a lot of variety. Well It Cosmetics has answered my prayers with their new Matt Luxe palette.

It Cosmetics is a fairly new name to me. I had heard of their Bye Bye Under Eye a couple years ago but it seems lately It Cosmetics is everywhere. They are now carrying the brand at Ulta and often have specials for them on QVC. I saw that the brand was having a 25% off sale on their website and figured it was a time to try some things. While surfing through the products I found this gorgeous palette. What originally caught my eye was the fact that it is an entirely matte palette. There is also a good variety of colors in this palette. There are plenty of neutral shades as well as a few colored shades. I also like that their are cool tones and warm tones.

The palette has anti-aging components. The box says it has hydrating age reverse and prevent complex infused with peptides, hydrolyzed collagen, silk, anti-oxidants, and drops of light technology. Now I am not sure exactly what all of this means but anti-aging is never a bad thing.
The packaging is very similar to the first Naked Palette. It is a soft faux suede like material with gold writing. It has a magnetic clamp to keep the palette from braking open during travel. Now though the packaging is gorgeous it seems like something that would easily get dirty.

I am going to warn you already that the inside is a very metallic gold and is hard to photograph. You will see my reflection in the pictures. Sorry!!
There are 14 all matte shades in this palette. There is also the "Transforming Pearl," shade which is meant to make the matte shades into shimmering pearl shades.
They all have lovely names that make you think of happiness and warming thoughts.

From left to right: Sheer Joy, Soft Light, Love, and Sunrise.
From left to right: Warmth, Soulful, Sunset, and All Heart.
From left to right: Mocha, Violet, Java, and Iconic.

From left to right: Midnight, Noir, and the Transforming Pearl.

These eyeshadows are awesome. They are smooth, pigmented, and so soft. They apply like a dream and a little goes a long way. I found it was easy to blend them out and they lasted a long time.
This is a before and after of Java with the Transforming Pearl over it. I personally don't like the Transforming shade and probably won't use it. I found that it dulled down the color. I will just use the eyeshadows on their own since they are gorgeous without the Pearl over it.

I think this is well worth the money and is so versatile. I see myself getting a lot of use out of it.

  1. It's a nice palette!
