My Concealer Prayer Has Been Answered.... Physicians Formula Conceal RX Physicians Strength Concealer Review and Swatches!!

Yayayayayayaya....oh hey! In case you were confused for a moment there, that was my written interpretation of what a happy dance looks like. I am still doing it as I begin to type this review. Why? You ask...because it seems my crappy product slump is over! After weeks and weeks of trying products that just stunk I finally finally found one that I am loving! It is a product that I think is a huge underdog in the beauty world but hopefully not for long. I have been looking for the perfect concealer for so long. Now there are all types of concealers for all sorts of problems (skin discoloration, acne, dark circles, etc). Not all concealer can nor should be used for the same problems. That is why you always hear talk of brightening concealers, color correcting concealers, and so on and so forth. With that being said this concealer is the answer for my serious skin dilemma issues such as massive zits, out of control blemishes, or very dark circles.

What I am raving about is this little gem called Physicians Formula Conceal RX Physicians Strength Concealer....Phew, long name I know! We will called it CRX for my fingers sake.

The packaging looks like this. It comes in a decent size tube. Think of the size of a travel size toothpaste. For the amount of product you need to use to get a good coverage this is a decent size. I can foresee this lasting me over a year.
On the back it has some before and after pictures of people who have used this product. These are nice to see but I usually never go by just the package promises alone.
So this is what the tube looks like out of the package. It isn't anything special as far as packaging goes. What's inside is the special part. Ha so cliche I know!

Let's look at the company claims. This is what the description says on www.drugstore.com

Those are a lot of big claims huh? I picked mine up in Fair Light. Now one of the only downfalls of this product is that the color selection is very very limited. They only have three shades available and one of them is a color corrector. The other two shades are both for light skin so if you have dark skin or almost even tan skin you will be out of luck which makes me very sad!

This is how much product I applied on my hand for my swatch before I had actually used it. I horribly over estimated how much I needed.
As you can see it is very opaque. You get a lot of coverage with this product. As you can also see a little goes a long way. I tried to further spread this out but it was still way too much. I am a little more tan than normal so this shade is a bit light for me but worked great as a brightener.
I applied the concealer to my vein. Is that weird? I have really blue veins so I thought this would show how well the coverage is. The top picture is before and the bottom picture is after. It did a great job of covering without looking unnatural or cakey.
Well for the sake of being completely honest this is what I look like with just a tinted moisturizer on. Like everyone else I have zits and dark circles. This is what my face looks like before concealing and powder.
And this is after. It completely covered up my blemishes, zits, and my under eye circles. I also used it around my nose to get rid of redness. I could not believe how well this worked. It covered up everything without feeling heavy or caking up. Some concealers that are full coverage can feel really heavy when you wear them and can start to look cakey throughout the day especially around the nose but this did not.

Maximum Coverage- Check. It is so opaque and covered everything even the huge pimple under my nose!

Maximum Comfort- Check. Like I said it did not feel heavy or uncomfortable. It didn't even feel like I had                                    concealer on.

Ultra Long Wear- I wore it for around 8 hours and it stayed on flawlessly. Around the 10 Hr. mark I                                        noticed it had started to break down a little and settle under my eyes. I would say that                                  you can wear it for about 8 hours solid without any noticeable change which I think is                                    decent.

Natural Smooth Finish- I also agree with this. It is so creamy and applies with ease. It didn't look streaky.                                         I applied it with a concealer brush and blend it out with my beauty blender. It                                                 looked flawless and did not oxidize. It also tried matte without being too dry and                                           stayed matte all day. I set it with a translucent powder along with the rest of my                                             face but even without that it dried matte.

Overall I LOVE THIS product. Now I don't have any issues such as Rosacea or hyperpigmentation so I don't know how it does with those but I would imagine it would cover those well too. The coverage is just amazing. Have any of you tried this? What do you think if you have?

I found mine at Riteaid but I know you can also find Physicians Formula at Walmart and CVS. You can also order it on www.drugstore.com. The price point is anywhere from $7-$11!
