The Balm Nude Tude Palette Review And Swatches!!!

I finally got my Nude Tude palette in the mail this week and I am so happy :)! I have been waiting to get my hands on this bad boy and for it to arrive for too long! If you are not familiar with The Balm and their amazingness than check this post out here . The Nude Tude palette is The Balm's way of jumping on the "Neutral Nude Palette" band wagon. It is their version of the Urban Decay Naked Palette or Nude On Nude Palette by NYX. There has been a lot of hype about this palette and now that I have it and have used it I see why. I have always been a big fan of The Balm eye shadows due to their fantastic quality and the shadows in this palette are no different.

I do and do not like the packaging. It is adorable that is for sure. I love the little pin up girls and the cute names which the brand is known for. My complaint though is that it doesn't seem very sturdy. It is nice and thin so room wise it would be good for storage but the package is just cardboard and paper. It does not snap shut or anything like that either. I feel like one accidental fall or a bump around while in a suitcase and this baby would be toast. It does come with a sleeve but let's be real who puts things back in the sleeve!

Here is a close up of the shades. The left side of the palette are the lighter shades and the right side is darker. I like that you get a good mix of matte and shimmer shades here. (sorry about the lighting I was trying to get the best I could). Like I said you get a nice mixture of textures. I also like that they give you perfect shades for highlighting and for blending and crease!
Here are swatches of the palette on bare skin without primer. The top photo is the left side and the bottom photo is the right side. As you can see these eye shadow are soooo pigmented. I love that the matte shades are just as pigmented as the shimmer shades because with a lot of palettes the two usually are not equal. These eye shadows apply like butter. They are so smooth and easy to blend.

Overall I am in love with this little guy. I think it is a great palette to have around. It comes with the perfect colors for everyday yet gives you a few shades to really amp it up. I purchased mine on Hautelook.com but I know you can also get it at www.thebalm.com. Normally it is $36 but I would wait and try to snag it on Hautelook for $18 like I did. The Balm is on Hautelook fairly often but you will have to patient!
