1) Favorite drugstore makeup brand:
Hands down my favorite makeup brand is L'oreal. I love their eyeshadows, mascara, lipstick, and pretty much everything else. I feel like L'oreal has really stepped their game up over the last 2 years. They have introduced some top of the line unique products to their permanent line. I used to be so/so about most of their eye products but now many of them are my favorite things out of my whole collection.
2) Favorite face, cheek, and lip products:
I am going to try and narrow this down as much as possible but this is hard. Okay
- Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation is by far the best drugstore foundation I have found EVER! Now I know foundation can be very personal and works well for some and not for others but I think it is worth giving it a try. Everyone that I have recommended this to has had a great experience with it and absolutely loves it. If you would like a review of this and before and after pictures feel free to let me know!
Is still my Revlon Anti-Aging Colorstay Concealer. To see more on this product and why I love it click here!
This one is def hard. I don't know why but I like to change up what I use to set my foundation with a lot. I get bored with facial powders for some reason. Top three in no order would be Covergirl Clean Pressed Powder, Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder, and my Physician's Formula Mineral Wear Loose Talc Free Powder.
Hands down my Wet N'Wild Coloricon Blushes. To see full reviews and swatches of these click here and click here.
I am going to be very honest for a moment here. I used to be a smoker so for that reason I never wore lip products because they were pointless for me because they would just rub off. Now that I am a non smoker (yay :)) I am rediscovering the world of lip products. My favorite lip balm is the Maybelline Baby Lips, for a review click here or my EOS Lip Balm. Right now all my favorite lipsticks are the normal favorite like the Revlon Lip Butters and L'oreal Shine Caresse Lipsticks.
3)Best Makeup Bargain:
Hands down Wet N Wild products. They are such good quality for such a little price. So many of their products are staples in my beauty routine. I love their eyeshadows, blushes, gel eye liners, and loose glitters. You can see many review and raves sprinkled throughout my blog. I also love that their are always good sales going on at the drugstores for their products. Their products are great for beauty beginners because you can try a lot of products without having to spend a lot. If you haven't had a change to get your hands on any items from Wet N Wild you should def check out some of my previous posts and get you some of my favorite things :)
4)Favorite Underdog Product(product you love and think does not get enough hype):
I have a couple of these. First would be the NYX Eyeshadow Base pots. Now I know you hear a lot of hype in the beauty world about the NYX Eye Pencils and how they are great bases for eyeshadows but what about the bases that are actually supposed to be bases :-P. I love these little suckers. I own both the skin tone and the white. They are great for giving you a nice even canvas on the lid and they never crease on me. For the $6 or so that they cost I think they are definitely worth it. I also love love love the E.l.f Mineral Eyeshadows. I have a full review of them click here. I list all the reasons why I love them in that post. I also really love the Essence Stay All Day Cream Eyeshadow which you can also read about here
5)Drugstore product that is over priced:
I think Prestige cosmetics are over priced for what they are. I have tried their products over and over and I honestly wouldn't have spent a penny if I knew then what I know now. I just don't like their products at all.
6)Best Drugstore Dupes:
The L'oreal Infallible Eyeshadows are great dupes for the Armani Eyes To Kill Eyeshadows and are less than half the price. I find there are a lot of dupes for M.A.C eyeshadows in the Coastal Scents palettes.
7)What Drugstore Product Is Overhyped:
I would have to say the Maybelline Bouncy Blushes. Everyone was making videos and raving about them. I bought a couple and maybe it is just me but they just don't work. I found them to be un-pigmented on my skin, the way they squished around I found to be gross, and they didn't last very long.
8)Least Favorite Makeup:
I don't know if this means least favorite to apply but that is how I am taking it. I would have to say I would love if I didn't have to do my eyebrows. I am very picky about them and have to make sure they are as even as possible. My eyebrows alone take me a good ten minutes!
