E.l.f Mineral Lip Products Review and Swatches.

Along with all the other E.l.f products that I have bought recently I also picked up a few lip products from their mineral line. I try to keep as much of my makeup as cruelty free and natural as possible so I was instantly drawn to the Mineral lip products. I only picked up three items because I am picky about anything that goes on my lips and didn't want to go over board and buy a bunch of products that were going to suck! I was pleasantly surprised with the items that I received. Let's take a look...
Sorry for the weird background and lighting but my camera was being all crazy so I had to move around and what have you in order to get decent pictures!
                                                   The shade above is Pink
                                                  The shade above is Guava
Swatched on the left is Pink and on the right is Guava
The first mineral lip products that I picked up were the Mineral Lip Tint SPF8. They are a lip tint so they are not that pigmented but they are great for everyday wear or for a nice natural look. My lips have been rather dry so I have been wearing these the past couple days. The texture is smooth but I don't feel like they actually helped my chapped lips at all. I like how they apply so my suggestion is through a clear lip balm on underneath them first just to make sure.
The E.l.f website says "Nourish, pamper and treat lips with this super emollient, lip quenching color. Shea butter, Jojoba oil, Coconut Oil and Vitamin E impart serious moisture while SPF 8 protects lips from harmful UVA/UVB rays. This just-bitten tint of color provides immediate soothing relief to irritated chapped lips while also diminishing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around the lip area. Like all our mineral makeup this item is 100% mineral based with No Parabens, No Preservatives and No Chemical Dyes."
I really like these so far (sorry for the change on font but I don't know what the heck it was set on before so I am just going to roll with it). Anyway, for $3 a piece I feel like these are worth the money. You do have to reapply them every couple hours but that is usually the case with any sort of gloss or balm. I also like that the packaging is sleek and sturdy. I feel okay with throwing it in my bag without it falling apart or getting damaged. I did pick up one other item so let's check that out...

The last lip item that I bought was the Mineral Lipstick which I also like thus far. It cost $5 but is well worth the money especially if you can get it while E.l.f is running a sale. The color that I purchased was Nicely Nude. It is def a light subtle color but that was what I was going for. I really like the formula of these. They feel more like a lip conditioner than a lipstick but without losing the color of a lipstick. The texture is nice and creamy and the color went on smoothly. I also like the packaging of this. It is the same sleep black packaging as the Lip Tints. The color and finish lasted for about 4 hours before I needed to reapply it which isn't bad for a $5 lipstick. The website offers many more shades that I am sure I will be buying a few more of.

So overall I was happy with these products. I think I will be purchasing some more lip products from their mineral line. As always thank you for reading...have a beautiful day lovies!!
