The Balm Shady Lady Palettes

This post is a little bit different than what I normally do because it isn't a new product. However, I am reviewing them today because I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM!!! They are The Shady Lady Eyeshadow Palettes by The Balm. I found mine at Tj Maxx about a year ago for $10 a piece and they are worth every penny and then some. The reason I wanted to introduce you all to the lovely cosmetics world that is The Balm is because the brand is going to be on Hautelook.com on Monday and with any luck these will be part of the sale. For those of you who don't know what Hautelook is it is a flash sale site. They feature clothing, shoes, home decor, beauty products, and men's wear at discount prices for a limited time. To check it out and peek around click here . Anyway, like I said The Balm will be featured on the site on Monday so you can possibly save big time on their products.

Above is Shady Lady version 1...as you can see it's a mixture of cool tones. All of the shades have shimmer but the middle blue shade is almost matte.
Above is the top row (left) and middle row(right) swatched on bare skin without a primer.
Above is the bottom row swatched on bare skin without a primer.
Above is Shady Lady version 3. The palette is very shimmery so if you don't like that you have no interest here. It offers warmer colors but also has a beautiful teal and nice glittery black shade.

This is the bottom row swatched on bare skin without a primer.

Overall these are some of the best eyeshadows that I own. They are so smooth and velvety and they blend like a dream. I also like that each palette offers some medium, light, and dark shades which makes it a great palette for travel. It is also great for travel because it is very slim and has a decent sized mirror. As you can tell the colors are decently pigmented and with primer are absolutely beautiful. In my opinion they are def worth the money. So check out the sale on Monday and let me know if you pick anything up. I know I am def looking to get the NudeTude Palette which is The Balm version of the naked palette and also the Shady Lady Volume 2.

Thanks for reading :)
