L'oreal Limited Edition Project Runway Eye Palettes

Well I have been waiting for this years limited edition L'oreal Project Runway sets to be released for months now. After getting a sneak peek at the collection I was pretty excited. So when a friend told me that she saw them at Riteaid I high tailed it right over there to get mine. Especially since L'oreal is buy one get one half off this week. They had all four in stock so I bought them all. Last years collection was pretty good and I still use those shadows and blushes all the time. Now here comes the part that saddens me...the review! I will put the swatches and pictures below then give my opinion!

Above is the palette called The Mystic's Gaze. I did all my swatched on bare skin without a primer.

This palette above is The Muse's Gaze

The palette above is called The Queens Gaze

and lastly this palette is The Temptress' Gaze
Verdict: Well some of these are worth your money and some are not. All the colors looked so promising in the package so I bought them all but upon swatching them I was disappointed. The Mystic's Gaze palette had me so excited mostly because of that bright blue shade. I think out off all of the palettes this is the one worth skipping. The shades are not very pigmented at all and are rather chalky. The bright blue that I was eyeing swatched horribly. I even put it over my NYX pencil and milk and that couldn't even save it. The darker shade is probably the best in this one and is more of a blue black. The Muse's Gaze palette isn't too bad if you like shimmer shades on the more pastel side. The colors are much more smooth and I think with some primer or base they would be really promising. The last two are my favorites. The Queens Gaze is awesome. The shadows applied much more pigmented and the least chalky or powdery of all of these. I think it would be a great palette to have for a rocker smokey eye look. The last quad is a great quad for fall. The colors are pigmented and I like that you actually get a good matte in here. The other matte eyeshadows in this collection were failures but this one is very nice.
The collection also had MANY other products such as limited edition nail polishes, Colour Riche glosses, blushes, nail enamel stickers, Infallible eye liners in both gel and pencil forms, and lipsticks. I am def going to be purchasing some more products from this and I will let you know what I think about those too. I hope this post was helpful if you are thinking about purchasing any of these. Thanks for reading my loves!!!
