L'oreal Infallible...The Most Amazing Drugstore Eyeshadow Ever

I have tried my fair share of drugstore eyeshadows over the years. Some I loved and some I hated but I think I have found my favorite one that I have ever tried EVER!! The L'oreal 24hr Infallible Eyeshadows ($7.95) are by far the best eye shadow (in my opinion) to hit the drugstore in a long long time. I know there is a lot of hype out there about these and there are a lot of other reviews but I figured I would do one of my own since I have had a lot of time to try them out, I own most of the shades, and well because I just love them so darn much. I reviewed a few of the shades earlier in the week click here to see that post. If you are unfamiliar with what the L'oreal Infallible eyeshadows are, they are a loosely packed pigment. Think of a Jesse's Girl Eye Dust or a MAC pigment that is pressed into a compact and that is basically what you are getting here. The texture is feels like a cross between a powder and a cream. The line offers quite a few shades now (I want to say around 25-30) and they come in both shimmers and mattes. I have yet to purchase a matte shade of these but I have heard great things about them. I initially bought all the shimmer shades because that is what I normally go for when picking an eyeshadow but I think now that I have fallen so in love with these that I might just get the mattes as well. Yes I know I have a problem haha!! These eyeshadows are sooooo pigmented, they are smooth, the color goes on evenly, and they really do last a long long time. I work sixteen hour shifts and these babies hung right in there. I also like that I didn't have to apply primer with these. The best application technique that I have found for these is your basic sponge tip applicator that comes in most eye palettes. I found that trying to use a brush creates fallout and does not apply the eyeshadow as evenly. The packaging is also very nice and I like that the shade in the pot is on the top of the package. It makes it a lot easier when searching through your collection and for storing. Also in the top of the package when you open it is a little sort of "stamp" kind of thing to push down the eyeshadow after you use it which keeps the pot nice and clean (and your drawers and makeup bags nice and clean). So now for the swatches and shades that I own!
These are the pinks and purples. From left to right: Perpetual Purple, Glistening Garnet, Pink Sapphire, and Amber Rush.
The above is swatched on bare skin with no primer.
The above are the darker brown shades. From left to right: Bottomless Java, Gleaming Bronze, and Bronze Taupe.

The above shades are the lighter shades. From left to right: Gold Imperial, Eternal Sunshine, and Iced Latte.

The above are the black and green shades. From left to right: Eternal Black, Golden Emerald, and Golden Sage.

The above are the blue shades. From left to right: Midnight Blue, Infinite Sky, Liquid Diamond, and Endless Sea.
To show you exactly what kind of wear we are talking about I posted the picture above. This is the swatches I did on my bare skin after I rubbed them with my hand and a dry hand towel. The color barely moved and I really rubbed hard to get them off. I had to use a makeup remover and even that took a little effort so they really are as long wearing as they claim to be.
I hope this was helpful for any of you that were thinking about purchasing these eyeshadows or if you already have some was helpful on deciding about some other eyeshadows you may like. Thank you again lovies for reading and as always feel free to comment or email.
